AIS was founded in 1983 as Alaska Insulation Specialties, Inc. to perform specialty contracting services to the mechanical and industrial insulation market.  By mid 1983, we realized the need for a full service insulation distributor in the Anchorage area.  Alaska Insulation Supply, Inc. was founded to fulfill this need.

Twenty years of hard work, professionalism, and customer service has made AIS the largest firm of our kind in the State of Alaska; an accomplishment we are proud of.  It is a tradition which will continue through our new ownership.  The same people who worked to build AIS into what it is today are now the owners.
